 CL_ParseGamestate : Bad command type

Hey guys,

I'm frequently gettin this error in the second d-coy server. Especially when the map Dufresne is on(my favourite xD)

Any solutions for this ?

Im sure D will come and tell you what that is, If it helps I also get this error when trying to join on certain maps if your on the server before the map loads its fine. I think its only when you try to join.

Exactly, when the map rotates after a match it loads fine, but when I try to join the server and the map is on it gives me the error. I found out that it does the same on server 1 with the map dasboot, weird.

Anyway thanks for the welcome and I do enjoy, there's only 1 thing I do not enjoy (especially on some small, close combat maps) and that would be the spawnkilling thing. Like you throw a nade and die about 50% of the time cuz someone running around with 7 seconds spawn protection, people are looking for it. You also die when u accidentally hit a teammate in spawnprotection. Imo, I'd remove the "die" thing when u hit someone, takes away alot of fun lolz.

Not a complaint, just a suggestion Smile

That's exactly what the forums for giving feedback so the server can be improved. D does a great job with the mods but is always looking for ways to improve it.

Dont think this fault can be fixed - in the past we have had to remove custom maps with this error - the stock maps are fine. So we can either keep the custom maps and be on when they load - or go onto the other dcoy server till the maps changes to a stock map or one that doesnt have this fault. personally Id like to keep them and yep I miss Dieville too.

This bad command byte error is a nasty one.
What causes it:
Some custom maps and the server mod and the messages.
Sometimes it lets 8-10 players connect and the rest gets the command byte error.

Only thing that could help is to change your config_mp.cfg
The location of this file:

dcoy 1: C:\Program Files\Call of Duty\D_COY1.2

dcoy2: C:\Program Files\Call of Duty\DCOY_2012

open the config_mp.cfg (with wordpad)
and search for hunkmegs and change it to 512.

It should look like this: seta com_hunkmegs "512"

If you still get the error it is a server side problem.
I don't think I can fix this one but i'll try.

@Kuato&Geordie: I'll put dieville back in rotation on 1&2
